The player's ability and desire to move to a level of soccer which makes more demands on their athletic abilities and heightens their skills will come as early as nine or ten, the youngest age at which a player can compete for a spot on a Golden Isles traveling team.

Starting in 2004, the Golden Isles Soccer Association will be introducing our “Technical Development Academy.”  This academy will have several phases and they are organized as follow:

Phase One – Mastery of the ball (Individual)

This phase will be offered to all U8, U9 and U10 interested in improving

Phase Two – Individual development within team / group pools (Individual with competition)

Phase Three – Travel Team Formation (Individual excels within team or group)

 

The Select teams travel to compete against other teams from North Florida, Georgia and possibly South Carolina.
